The Rocket Engine Advancement Program (REAP) is a collaborative university research effort organized under the Constellation University Institutes Project (CUIP). It is being accomplished by a consortium of universities with a mission focused on research and education in advanced propulsion for space exploration. The core team of Auburn University, Penn State University, Purdue University, Tuskegee University, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville provides a knowledge base, research skills and commitment to achieve immediate and continuing impact on the NASA Constellation Project.

The initial research emphasis has been upon Combustion Instability and Thrust Chamber Cooling. It is being accomplished by means of integrated research teams composed of analysts, diagnosticians and experimentalists working together in an integrated multi-disciplinary program.

More details on the content of these individual research efforts are provided in “Presentations” at this web site.
